To create a staging site for WordPress via Installatron, you first need to find your installed WordPress application under Installatron when logged into cPanel.
Once you’ve clicked on your application and you can see the Install details, you want to click the arrows splitting in the top right area of the page that say Clone when hovered over.
This will take you to the clone feature of Installatron allowing you to create an exact copy of your WordPress site on a different domain/sub-domain.
Here select the domain/sub-domain you wish to install your staging site under. You should then toggle the checkbox under “Create a Staging Site?”
You can leave the other options set to automatic and then press Clone at the bottom right to proceed.
Note, when you Clone a site, it's just a copy without the ability to push changes back to the WordPress website it was cloned from. If you choose Staging, you have the option of pushing the changes back to the site you cloned from avoiding having to manually move patches, plugins, etc. back to the cloned-from website.
